The new year is upon us and, as we again consider our resolutions for the upcoming year, we contemplate how we are going to begin that exercise program, exercise more, or change that same program we’ve been doing for the past seven years. Regardless of which scenario fits you, it’s important to make sure your exercise program is best for you and that it will get you results in a safe, efficient, and dare I say, enjoyable manner.
Many of us have tried, or considered using, the latest and greatest exercise program seen advertised or talked about on TV, radio, or at the water cooler at work. The program promises to bust your butt and give you ripped abs while giving you the body that will get you on a magazine cover. What they don’t tell you is that the program is too hard for many beginners, that it requires x-amount of time every day, and that those who don’t fall off the wagon will probably end up with over-use injuries or pains from doing exercises that their bodies are not capable of doing correctly.
What we need, while working on our fitness goals, are exercises that are modified to fit our movement capabilities while working on improving mobility and stability. We need to know what exercises are best for us, which exercises will do us more harm than good, and which exercises can be used to help us enjoy a higher quality of life. We need a realistic program that fits into our schedule; one that will give us realistic expectations. We want someone who cares about our needs and wants to help us; someone who is not selfishly motivated to serve us because they want to earn a quick buck.
That someone who can get you what you need is a Personal Trainer at Capital Fitness. You will not find a team of trainers in the Madison area who are as knowledgeable and committed to serving their clients as the team of Trainers at Capital Fitness. We will consider whether you want a male or female trainer, your schedule, and your wants and needs. Feel free to contact Brian, our Head Personal Trainer, so that he can help you get started on looking, feeling, and moving great!
