PERSONAL TRAINERS

Importance of Personal Training:
Personal training isn’t a numbered package of sessions, it’s a lifestyle. My clients experience benefits that extend far past their personal fitness goals into all areas of their lives. Increased confidence, a sense of well being, accomplishment and self discipline are what you can expect to take with you long after you have left the gym floor. We are here to motivate our clients, hold them accountable, and teach them how to use their bodies to safely get them what they want…RESULTS. Everybody responds differently because no two bodies are the same. Finding out exactly what works best for your body, and guiding you into a lifestyle that looks and feels better is what personal training is all about.

A part of what personal trainers do is help people understand how their bodies were made to move. This is important because faulty movement patterns can lead to serious injury. A personal trainer can drastically reduce these risks by assessing your body and teaching you how to correct any muscular imbalances that are causing improper movement. Gone unchecked, these imbalances commonly lead to chronic pain in the knees, back, and neck, and stressed or torn connective tissue. Don’t wait until it’s too late, a personal trainer can help you avoid these injuries or prevent them from reoccurring.

I strongly believe that personal training is a service that should be utilized by almost every person that lives on God’s green earth. Most people, even athletes, don’t know the best exercises for their needs or how to do exercises properly. And the fact of the matter is, almost every person loses mobility and stability in their body as they age, especially if they have a sedentary job or lifestyle. This is also seen in individuals who do repetitive movements with their job or people who routinely do the same exercises or workout. This ultimately leads to premature aches, pains, and injuries that should have been prevented with proper body conditioning.
A qualified Personal Trainer, like the ones we have here at Capital Fitness can show a person their faulty movement patterns and areas where they lack proper mobility and stability. Once that has been established, the proper exercises and stretches can be used to correct any faulty issues while still taking into consideration any other goals that the client may want to work on.
Finally, a Personal Trainer will provide you with motivation and encourage you to work harder than you would on your own.

Personal Training could be the piece of the puzzle you are missing in attaining your fitness goals. Most individuals don’t have a full grasp on what a workout should be. Workouts should be Smart, Intense, and designed with the individual’s Goals in mind. A trainer can show you the proper way to workout. If you’re going to put your time in at the gym then you might as well train Smart and get the most out of your time. Do you know what a workout should feel like?

Personal training is the tool to keep you motivated and give you guidance through each workout so it stays focused on your goals. When workouts become boring or unproductive, personal training is the answer to take your workout to the next level of fitness. Along with health issues and disease reduction, personal training can increase functional daily life, increase self-esteem and it can also assist with positive mental health. Functional life activities that personal training can improve include making walking up a flight a stairs easier, playing with the kids, working in the yard or training for your next fun run or marathon. Each session with a personal trainer will help build strong muscles, improve balance, control, and endurance. All of these fitness components create a body structured to enhance a better quality of life and achieve your personal goals.

No one can possibly know the proper way to exercise without learning how to do it. Just like anything else in life, the only way to learn something is by exposure. A good personal trainer has taken the proper steps and the time to educate themselves on exercise, fitness, and health. A good personal trainer has the necessary tools to pass his or her education on to you, their client. Your personal trainer’s job is to design and teach you the correct goal-oriented program, the reasoning behind that program, and the proper technique and form to execute that program. Because of the knowledge your trainer gives you, you will stay motivated to follow the program designed for you and you will stay motivated to continue to learn more, all the while giving you a healthier body along the way.
